Last time we talked about painting rocks to decorate our gardens. Today we are going to work on the inside of the house with paintings that are made with our fingers. Well, the paintings are going to be made with the kid’s fingers, but feel free to make your own also. Why should the kids have all the fun, right?
What You Will Need For Finger Painting
Here we go with the handy, dandy, supply list:
- Fingers ready to paint (very, very important)
- Finger paints (use paints that can easily be washed off)
- Thick paper or canvas
- Old shirt
- Old bed sheets or towels
Getting kids cooking and familiar with the kitchen is a life lesson they all need. Besides it’s fun to cook with them. You just never know what crazy creation they are going to come up with when you let them take the lead (with supervision) in the kitchen.
An art project for all ages, and perfect for the summer because you can do it outside. Making your own rock art with your kids will leave you with colorful new garden decorations that will still be with you long after your kids have grown and left the house.
Yard scavenger hunts are one of those activities that you can throw together in just a couple minutes, and it will keep the kids busy for a while. It will also get them outside away from the electronics, as well as leave them with no excuse to utter “I’m bored”.
Beat the heat this summer with popsicles you can make at home. They take no time at all, and depending on the ingredients you use, you can make homemade popsicles for cheaper than you can buy them in the store.
